The Marine Industries Group, MIG, formerly Marine Industries Organization,
MIO, is a defense industry complex subordinate to the Iranian defence ministry.
It is the major producer of equipment for both naval forces of Iran, the Islamic
Republic of Iran Navy and the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. It
consists of five subsidiaries (Shahid Joolai Marine Industries in 1986, Shahid
Darvishi Marine Industries established in 1989, Shahid Tamjidi Offshore
Industries established in 1996, Shahid Mousavi Offshore Industries established
in 2004 and Shaheed Mousavi's Marine Industries established in 2004) and it is
the exclusive manufacturing industry for marine vessels of the Defense
Industries Organization (D.I.O.) which is capable in designing and production of
various types of marine structure & floating vessels by utilizing fiberglass,
steel and aluminum materials, employing the advanced navigation equipment,
central ventilation and communication.
